The entry below is a synopsis of our speakers talk on 21st June 2023
The Presentation this week was by Mr Jim Temple.
Jim’s talk covered his time in the motor vehicle tyre replacement and fitting trade.
The stories followed his progress from tea maker to country manager and some of the more unusual events which happened in different locations.
one such was the capture of the most wanted cat buglar in Glasgow which happened when the burglar dropped into the loft at his branch and couldn’t get back out as the new tyres he was using to escape the locked room kept collapsing under his weight, the Glasgow Police department were very happy to take him off their hands.
There were many other stories in his presentation.
Questions followed to conclude another excellent presentation and a very good morning for all our members who thoroughly enjoyed every moment.
